TRUST & STANDARDS
Editorial policy
Speed matters on the social internet. Accuracy matters more.
Last updated: 15 August 2026Source standard
A publishable story must link to a primary source whenever one is available. Primary sources include an official creator post, verified brand announcement, public filing, event page or direct on-record statement.
- No unnamed repost as sole evidence
- No invented follower or engagement figures
- Dates and direct quotations checked against the source
- Material uncertainty stated in the article
Headlines
Headlines may be energetic, but they must remain supported by the story. We do not use a headline that changes the meaning of the underlying source.
Review and publication
AI may assist research organisation, transcription, summarisation and draft preparation. A human editor remains responsible for the headline, claims, context, attribution and publication decision.
Send a pitch
Send source-backed news tips, interview pitches and creator announcements to editorial@theviralledger.in.
Commercial coverage
Sponsored stories, affiliate relationships, gifts and paid placements must be labelled. Commercial relationships do not purchase favourable editorial conclusions.
